The most seamless way to reach Torridon and the Ben Damph Estate is via Inverness.

Guests can arrive into Inverness by scheduled flight from London, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham and Edinburgh, or by private jet into Inverness Airport. For those who prefer to travel overnight, the Caledonian Sleeper offers a refined and restful journey directly from London to Inverness.

From Inverness, we arrange a private chauffeured transfer through some of the most dramatic scenery in the Highlands - approximately 1 hour 45 minutes to the estate.

For those seeking the most discreet arrival, helicopter transfer can also be arranged, landing directly within the estate grounds.

Should guests wish to continue their journey to another of our hunting locations - such as our West Coast Private Island Escapes - seamless private transfers are arranged by car or boat. An optional stopover can be added at a remote lighthouse on the Isle of Skye, offering an additional night of adventure before continuing onward.

Fly or take the train to Inverness, then journey west through the dramatic Glen Torridon - a drive that feels like crossing into another world. Arrive at your lodge, settle in, and share a welcome meal around the table. There’s time to look over maps, talk through the land’s history, and prepare for the days ahead - a gentle introduction before the adventure begins.

The morning starts with time at the range beside the lodge - an hour of target practice to get comfortable with the rifle. After breakfast, packs are loaded and the stalking begins. 

With four different access points across the estate, routes are chosen by the wind, and the day unfolds in the rhythm of the hills.

If successful, the group takes part in the extraction - learning how the animal is brought down from the mountain, by quad, horse, or sheer effort.

Evening brings warmth again - dinner, whisky, stories, and rest.

After breakfast, it’s another full day on the hill - a different glen, a new route, a fresh challenge. Every day here feels different: new weather, new light, new lessons from the land. 

By late afternoon, it’s back to the lodge or cottage for a soak in the wood-fired hot tub and a well-earned dram. 

That evening, the tone shifts to celebration - a traditional music night, a few songs shared, laughter, and good Highland spirit.

A slow morning. Breakfast by the fire, maybe a final walk to the loch. Then it’s time to pack up, heading home through the glens - tired, content, and carrying the quiet pride that comes from a few honest days on the hill.
