Zeki Basan

Glacier Guide, Traditional Skills & Survival Expert

Your lead guide for this trip is Zeki Basan. His deep connection to this wild landscape is what sparked the journey that brings you here - into a place that has become a true home away from home.

Zeki is from the Highlands of Scotland where he has spent his life practicing, learning and teaching, old traditional survival skills. He has also spent time with First Nation and tribal communities in different parts of the world to increase his own knowledge and understanding of traditional survival.

In addition to his passion for traditional skills, he is an outdoor guide, leading groups in remote environments. And he has trained as a Glacier Guide in Iceland  where he worked for several years leading groups on Europe's largest ice caps.

Zeki's passion for exploring wild places and utilising what nature provides is at the root of this journey. To give you a deeper understanding and connection with nature, you will have the opportunity to learn and practice traditional Greenlandic and Celtic skills.

Her journey has taken her across oceans aboard racing and expedition yachts and on immersive journeys into the wilderness.

By crafting experiences that strip away the distractions of modern life, she invites guests to tap into their primal instincts and reignite the bond we all share with the wild.

REACHING THIS REMOTE DESTINATION

Upon inquiry, we will discuss your preferred travel options from your home destination to this unique location. We offer personalised assistance in choosing from our handpicked selection of hotels in either Reykjavik or Copenhagen for before and after Greenland, ensuring a restorative start and finish to your journey. We’ll also support you in arranging your flights—whether you prefer private travel for added comfort or commercial flights for a more traditional route.

Please note that travel, hotels, and insurance coverage outside of Greenland are not included in the cost. This allows us to tailor these aspects of your journey to best suit your individual preferences both before and after your remote escape.
